Happy New Year

Whew. What a crazy year 2012 has been. And on top of everything else, this is my 250th blog post. What a perfect way to end the year!

As I look back on the past 365 days, I feel like I've grown so much as a person. Not only did I survive the Mayan apocalypse (what a relief haha), but I also survived one of the most stressful years of my life. After taking the ACT in the spring, I went on many college visits. I finished off the year with few months of writing essays and sending in college applications, and on December 14, I found out I was accepted to my first choice school. I'll be bleeding orange and blue for the next four years!

2012 was the year that I turned 18. I also had both my first kiss and my first boyfriend this past year, and while that relationship didn't work out, it is something I will always remember and take lessons from as I move forward in life. My final high school golf season ended back in October with a return to State Finals for the second year in a row. I will miss all of my golf girls, but I know my memories with them both on and off the course will stay with me forever.

I know that 2013 will be the greatest year yet. In May, I will finally graduate from high school. I plan on spending next summer with my friends as much as possible, since we will all be going to different schools in the fall. Finally, in August, I will be moving into my dorm and beginning my life as a poor college student. And I could not be more excited.
