Golden Globes 2013

As I watched the Golden Globes last night, I couldn't help but notice all of the amazing gowns! These women were some of my favorites. As always, Jennifer Lopez stole the show in her nude lace gown. Julie Bowen, Lea Michele, Sarah Hyland, Adele, Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Garner, and Jessica Alba are also pictured above.

As for the awards, I could not have been any happier about who won! Ben Affleck winning the Best Director Award for his film Argo took the cake for me, especially since he did not receive an Oscar nomination for it. I loved Jennifer Lawrence's speech after she won Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook (which I still need to go see!). I think Adele looked absolutely stunning, and she definitely deserved to win for her song, "Skyfall". Jodi Foster's speech started out strong, but took an awkward turn for me at the end when she talked about coming out, her ex-partner, and her mother. I wasn't exactly sure where she was going with it to me honest! Regardless, I think she was a great choice for the award. Jessica Chastain also gave an emotional speech after winning for Zero Dark Thirty.

And of course, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were genius.

I thought they did a wonderful job of being funny but classy. None of the jokes were raunchy or taken too far. I'm actually reading Tina Fey's autobiography, Bossypants, right now, so I appreciated her even more! All in all, I really enjoyed watching the Golden Globes this year.
