Single Ladies Link Up

As I was browsing through my blog feed this morning, I noticed a lot of Valentine's Day posts were popping up. Bloggers have been announcing Valentine's Day link ups all week in preparation for next Thursday. I was excited to look through them and decide which one I wanted to participate in, especially since there are so many of you out there who come up with the most creative ideas! However, the search was quite a let down. Naturally, every Valentine's Day link up was some kind of question and answer about you and your other half. But what if I don't have "my other half"?

Listen ladies, I know there are a lot of you out there who are in the same position as me. Valentine's Day can be a hard time when you're single, but it shouldn't be! I don't want this to be another year where I sit at home, depressed about my nonexistent love life. I think it's time we hold our heads up high and have our own celebration this Valentine's Day: let's celebrate how much we love ourselves.

This is my challenge to you: make a list of the top ten things you love about yourself. Rather than thinking about the reasons you don't have a boyfriend or husband, appreciate the amazing qualities that make you who you are. Throw your humbleness out the window for the time it takes to write your post, and really be honest. Brag a little! Give yourself the love and appreciation you deserve.

Feel free to include anything else you want in your post. After listing what you love about yourself, share about your friends and family members you love the most. Make a play list of guy-bashing or self-empowerment songs you love to belt out after a break up. Anything you want. Let's make Valentine's Day about single girls for once.
