TGIF

Yes, Jimmy Fallon. I'm happy it's Friday too!

Needless to say, this has been one heck of a week. I had three big tests at school, one of which I don't think I did very well on... *cough cough calculus*. Oh well, I tried my best. This weekend is a long one for me because of President's Day, but that has its downfalls. Knowing that we would have an extra day to do homework, my teachers assigned me two huge projects that are due on Tuesday. Looks like I'll be spending my whole weekend at home!

Except for tonight that is. I'm going out with one of my good friends, Erika, to see Warm Bodies. After the movie we're going over to my friend Amanda's house to hang out with her and a few other friends. Erika and I are both single, so we decided to have a "date night" for Valentine's Day!

Speaking of Valentine's Day, I think this is the first year that I didn't mope around and spend the whole day depressed. Thanks to all of you who participated in my link up, I had a wonderful day! So many of you left me encouraging comments and emails, which I very much appreciated. I took the time to make cards for all of my best friends, and a few of them made treats for me as well. I tried my best to stay positive (and not ask my friends about their plans with their boyfriends). I even broke out my hot pink matte lipstick for the occasion!

For those of you who are Catholic like me, big ol' Ash Wednesday was this week! That means Lent has begun, as well as fish dinners on Fridays (I actually just finished eating my grilled tilapia). Lucky for me, fish goes well with the diet I'm currently on.

Oh yes! I almost forgot to tell you, I started weight watchers about 2 and a half weeks ago. A friend of my mom did it a long time ago and gave my mom the information, so we just keep track of points at home (we didn't actually join the weight watchers online program). Here is my progress so far:

Starting weight: 132.6
Current weight (after two weeks): 129.8

It seems to be working fairly well! I'll keep you all updated on my progress. Rather than giving up anything for lent, I just decided to focus on my diet. What are you giving up for lent? Comment and let me know!

Alright, ladies. It's time for me to change into something cute for my girls night with Erika! Do you have any plans for the weekend? I'd love to hear about them!

  4. I do not miss freaking out about calculus exams at all! I've started Weight Watchers too. I like calculating everything with points vs. counting calories for everything. We'll see how it works for me!
